Macbeth: Characteristics Of Macbeth That Led To His Downfall
Number of Words: 443 / Number of Pages: 2
... in my opinion, dug Macbeth's own grave. When the subject of
Macduff arrives, I don't think that he would have been so bitter towards Macbeth
if he hadn't killed his wife and children. Killing Macduff's family gains
nothing for Macbeth and tries to get at Macduff indirectly. This act of
desperation and spitefulness gives a good reason to now fear Macduff.
Also, as Macbeth took the throne, he really didn't trust anyone except his
wife, Lady Macbeth. Paranoid, due to King Duncan's murder, Macbeth let's his
delusional state of mind get to him. Therefore, from his original guilt of
murder c ...

Hamlet: Truth Of His Father's Death And Hypocrisy Surrounding Him
Number of Words: 799 / Number of Pages: 3
... must follow, as the night the day,/ Thou canst
not then be false to any man,"(I iii,ln 80)
It is clear that his first priority, in talking to his son, is to teach him to act proper, to keep up his own appearance, and not to wish him well. From his later actions, one can see that Laetres honor is what concerens him the most, not his well being. When Polonius feels it necessary to send a spy to keep an eye on him, he once again expresses his lack of trust for anyone. He goes on to ask Reynaldo to, "before you visit him. . . make inquirer/ Of his behavior. . .And thus do we of wisdom and of reach ...

Movie Preview For Silent Scream In THX
Number of Words: 993 / Number of Pages: 4
... animation. And the voice you felt strangely
familiar was James Earl Jones.
While I was reading this book I thought it would be a perfect story
line for an animated movie. So I was thought that my choice would be Todd
McFarlane. His current production is Spawn: The Cartoon on HBO. He also
has just done the animation for the video called “Do the Revolution”
preformed by Pearl Jam. Both of these cartoons have very convincing visuals
ala Todd McFarlane.
For the narrative during the movie and in the preview at the
movies for Silent Scream I would hire James Earl Jones because ...

Macbeth: Destiny Of Each Character Is Pre-determined
Number of Words: 831 / Number of Pages: 4
... royal promotion have come
true had they not made Macbeth aware of the possibility? There was no
reason to warn Macbeth of the fate in store for him, since it is most
likely impossible for a person to alter their destiny. It is quite
possible that the witches have no real power at all, beyond that of
suggestion. They may have only planted the idea within Macbeth, feeding
off his already present ambition. Perhaps the only true controlling power
comes from Lady Macbeth's uncontrollable greed.
Once Lady Macbeth had learned of the witches' prophecy, she immediately
concluded that Macbeth would no ...

Falstaff And King Henry: Similar Characters
Number of Words: 456 / Number of Pages: 2
... Hotspur and the opposing Vassals and when he deals with Hal at the
royal court. Both Falstaff and the King live,to a great extent, by the
sharpness of their minds: Falstaff as a criminal, and the King as a
politician. Another similar facet of these two characters is their view of
bravery. Both the King and Falstaff subscribe to the theory that it is
better to avoid danger and thus avoid the possibility of harm than to take
risks. Falstaff does this on several occasions, such as when he played dead
during the battle to avoid injury. At this same battle, the King employed
similar tactics, when he h ...

"The Other" And "Taxi Driver": A Comparison
Number of Words: 644 / Number of Pages: 3
... Other".
In "Taxi Driver" we see that Travis Bickle still has an identity
forming problem, or I might say that he has unconsciously formed an
identity during his childhood, but he's trying to find it. It was his
curiosity about his identity that was giving him problems to sleep.
Basically, his identity should be formed based on his father's identity,
but nothing is obvious. Whoever his (Travis) model was, planted the
confidence in Travis to form his identity. For example, if our parents
don't tell us in early our childhood about a certain quality that we have,
we might have an identity crisis in our ...

Pygmalion: Higgins' Philosophy
Number of Words: 715 / Number of Pages: 3
... his word,
may not exist, depending on the interpretation of this theory.
There are two possible translations of Higgins' philosophy. It can
be viewed as treating everyone the same all of the time or treating
everyone equally at a particular time.
It is obvious that Higgins does not treat everyone equally all of
the time, as witnessed by his actions when he is in "one of his states" (as
Mrs. Higgins' parlor maid calls it). The Higgins that we see in Mrs.
Higgins' parlor is not the same Higgins we see at the parties. When in
"the state" Henry Higgins wanders aimlessly around the par ...

... also were shaped in interesting forms like circles, ovals, or squares.
Religion was also an important on Greek art. They gave many tributes to their gods and goddesses, which controlled many aspects of their lives. A strong example is the massive sculpture of the goddess, Athena, located in the Parthenon. Statues were made of bronze and sometimes marble.
